Pauline Allen Nutrition Center

On July 26, 1997 Senior Services was proud to open the Pauline Allen Nutrition Center entirely debt-free. This "food factory" was completely funded by grants from foundations and generous contributions from local businesses and individuals. Named in honor of Pauline Allen who started Meals On Wheels in Kalamazoo county, this $1,800,000, 8,800 square foot facility can prepare an unlimited number of meals that will be used for Meals On Wheels, meals and catering for other nonprofit organizations, hospice clients and others who are unable to prepare their own meals in Southwest Michigan. The Pauline Allen Nutrition Center also serves as the American Red Cross Emergency Food Preparation site in Southwest Michigan.
