Our region has a competitive health care cluster that, while efficient, is seeking new ways to increase revenues and employment, without adding costs to employers and health plans. To achieve this, the Health Care cluster needs both to expand services to customers that are outside our region as well as diversify into new medical services and products. For this to occur, the Health Care cluster needs to harness regional R&D capabilities, foster new medical spin-offs and recruit new medical and pharmaceutical- related companies to our region.
