Our region's Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals cluster is a diverse part of the economy. However, the region has not harnessed this diversity to grow a critical mass of producers and suppliers. To retain and deepen this cluster, the region needs to improve the availability of skilled workers, improve air transportation access to markets and suppliers, and enhance the environment for business expansion and spin-offs of existing firms.
