The co-chair board is responsible to all members of the Regional EDGE process for overall direction and leadership. Thanks to the Irving S. Gilmore and Kalamazoo Foundations and additional support from the Kalamazoo Consortium for Higher Education and the W.E. Upjohn Institute, the L. Lee Stryker Center at Kalamazoo College will coordinate and facilitate all activities of Regional EDGE for the next year. Business, public sector and community leaders from across Southwest Michigan have worked together to bring Regional EDGE to life. We now know the challenges facing each of our industries and the actions required for a sustainable economy. More importantly, for the first time in years, we have chosen to act collaboratively—across counties and across companies—to build a competitive economy. By collaborating locally to compete globally, we will be able to reach our economic potential. Sustaining and promoting continuous improvement is the goal of Regional EDGE—and the responsibility of all stakeholders in our regional economy. |
