This initiative has secured $6 million of local economic development dollars and applied for a $6 million matching grant from the Michigan Jobs Commission to establish an advanced center for curriculum development and technology-based training to meet the needs of industry for highly-skilled, well-paid workers. Envisioned as a partnership between Kalamazoo Valley Community College, Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo College and other regional public and private training organizations, the center would comprise 100,000 square feet at a facility across from KVCC.
