Our region’s economic performance has lagged behind neighboring communities. While economic prosperity has touched many areas in the state and nation, our region has had difficulty retaining and attracting thriving industries. Recognizing this, our business and community leaders throughout Southwest Michigan have come together, agreeing to overcome shared problems collaboratively. Local competition has been set aside and a spirit of cooperation and unity has taken its place.
